Captain Calise has been employed by the Warwick Police Department since 1998.  Captain Calise serves as the Officer in Charge of the Detective Division.  Captain Calise previously served as the Officer in Charge of First Platoon Uniform Division and the Professional Standards Divsion Lieutenant.  He also served as Assistant Officer in Charge of the First and Second Platoons in the Patrol Division.  In addition, he was the Officer in Charge of the department’s Field Training Program and previously served in the Administrative Services Division.  At present, Lieutenant Calise is a Report Writing instructor for the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy.  He is also part of a cadre of instructors for the Fair and Impartial Policing program, which was developed for recruit, officer and supervisory levels of policing, and is sponsored through the United States Department of Justice.  Captain Calise is a cum laude graduate of New England Law—Boston where he earned his Juris Doctor degree.  He additionally holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Roger Williams University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Rhode Island College.

Captain Calise is a 1998 graduate of the Rhode Island Municipal Police Academy, where he was his class valedictorian.
