The Warwick Police responded to a car and bicyclist accident in the area of 125 Metro Center Blvd. at 0030 hours on December 29, 2013 where the driver of the vehicle fled the scene. The Traffic Division’s Accident Reconstruction Team is investigating the accident. The accident involved one vehicle operated by 26 year old Kristylee Perrino from Grimshaw Place in Warwick, and a bicyclist, 46 year old Michael Hague of Warwick Ave. in Warwick. The bicyclist was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Warwick Fire Rescue with serious injuries and at last check is still hospitalized.
The preliminary investigation disclosed that Perrino was travelling north east on Metro Center when she struck Hague in the area of 125 Metro Center Blvd and left the scene. Investigators located the suspect vehicle a short time later in the area. Perrino was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident-Personal injury, and Driving Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs-1st offense.
