In the State of Rhode Island, every Police Department is mandated to designate a Senior Police Advocate, who serves as a liaison to the Division of Elderly Affairs on matters of elder abuse, neglect, and self-neglect. Officer Gavin McVeigh is currently serving in this roll.

While every officer in the Warwick Police Department is responsible for elder abuse investigations, Officer Caradimos serves as a liaison between the police department and the Rhode Island Attorney General’s – Elder Abuse Unit and the Rhode Island Office Division of Elderly Affairs – Protective Services. Officer Caradimos will facilitate follow-up on investigations for these state offices if necessary. Officer Caradimos conducts lectures on elder abuse and elder safety annually at many senior living complexes and is available to lecture to other community groups and businesses serving the elderly.

Always consider RI Division of Elderly Affairs first for information or assistance. Coordination with Officer Moretti starts through RI Department of Elderly Affairs. Of course you can always call Officer Caradimos or the general Warwick Police Department number.
